Once the ringmaster of a sideshow flea circus, Vector was driven to madness and drink when his company abandoned him for a frisky Jack Russell Terrier. He soon found himself tottering over the edge of a nearby bridge and into the unforgiving crags below. Reanimated by freakish circumstances, he thinks only of his love of liquor, debauchery, and the screams of the drunken mobs in the theaters and cabarets the world over.

Burlesque hopeful from the northeastern territories, Verna caught Vector picking her pocket under a Pennsylvanian speakeasy and now accompanies him in his travels, determined to get revenge. She strings him along with her wiles, waiting for the perfect moment to make her move... and strike. Until then she delights in being a thorn in his side and getting her kicks when she can...
